Grantees

Support for the launch of a direct investment fund in three areas of Colorado: the San Luis Valley, Denver metro area and Colorado Springs. Area families with school-age children that enroll will receive a direct cash investment over the course of one year, in addition to strengthening and growing their social networks. Survey and financial data will measure the impact of this investment in the community.

Support for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) renewals for individuals. Via HOPE Alamosa, the resident team in Alamosa participating in the Community Partnerships strategy.

Support to serve as fiscal sponsor for the Sistahbiz Global Network, which manages the technical assistance, training and loan readiness programming for the Sistahbiz Loan Fund. The organization runs programs designed to help Black women entrepreneurs grow scalable businesses. (COVID-19 response grant)

Support for social justice-focused programming at the Adams State University Cultural Awareness and Student Achievement Center. Via HOPE Alamosa, the resident team in Alamosa participating in the Community Partnerships strategy.

Support for the Left Behind Workers Fund, which aims to empower undocumented workers and others ineligible for federal assistance to address their most pressing needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, including covering costs for food, rent, utility bills and more. The funds from The Colorado Trust are specifically designated for rent and housing-related assistance. (COVID-19 response grant)

Support to serve as fiscal sponsor for Denver Homeless Out Loud, which will use the funds to help maintain its office space, where a community of people without housing can gather and organize.

Support to serve as fiscal sponsor for Cherishing Life Youth Transformation Services, which will use the funds for programs that include a youth education curriculum, a new website and an app providing access to workshops, resources and lifestyle tips.

Support for the Equity in Education Fund, which provides scholarships for African American students to pursue post-secondary education with the goal of narrowing the degree attainment gap and providing more opportunities for African American students to access higher education.

Support for the Adams State University Cultural Awareness and Student Achievement Center to provide clothing, hygiene items and other basic necessities to San Luis Valley agricultural workers. (COVID-19 response grant)

Support for Native American Month and International Education Week cultural programming at Adams State University, hosted by the university’s Cultural Awareness and Student Achievement Center.
