Support to build capacity of youth advisers, in partnership with adult coalition members, who will grant youth-serving nonprofit agencies with sub-recipient awards restricted for programming related to the needs identified by the Youth Action Board members. Youth team members will receive grantwriting and grantmaking training; engage with adult coalition members to encourage authentic relationships between members; share decision-making power and authority; and ultimately work with community agencies to make awards. Support to redevelop the former Boyd School campus in Alamosa into affordable housing units, along with preserving an existing community garden and constructing a new playground, gym, community kitchen, laundry facilities and event space. (Community Partnerships Culmination Phase grant)
