The Colorado Trust Names Debra DeMuth as Vice President & CFO

DENVER, COLO.—Debra DeMuth has been named as the new Vice President and CFO for The Colorado Trust. In this role, DeMuth is responsible for The Trust’s overall financial management, including investments, budgets, audit matters, tax matters, risk management, information technology, human resource management and administrative services functions. She joins The Trust following a long tenure as Director and Executive Officer for CollegeInvest in the Colorado Department of Higher Education.

DeMuth spent the past 12 years as Director of CollegeInvest where she was responsible for the vision, strategic planning, financial integrity and leadership of the organization. In addition to leading CollegeInvest, she was the Director of College Assist for the past seven years, the federally designated guarantor of federal student loans for Colorado. Prior to CollegeInvest and College Assist, she held positions in the Department of Aviation for the City and County of Denver and with Coopers & Lybrand, an accounting firm in Boston and Denver.
DeMuth serves on the boards for the Denver Rotary Club Foundation, Girl Scouts of Colorado, the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation and the Public Education and Business Coalition. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Denver.
DeMuth received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University. She has an active CPA license for the State of Colorado and is a member of the AICPA and the Colorado Society of CPA’s.
