Overview

The Colorado Trust is funding three grantee organizations that possess expertise, experience and acumen in state and local legislative and advocacy work to support advances in the areas of food, housing, and mental and behavioral health. The Policy and Advocacy initiative grantees monitor the policy landscape to identify actions that could impact the issue areas and provide guidance and assistance to grantees.

Grantees

Colorado Fiscal Institute

Support for leading housing policy developments, providing a learning community for Community Resilience Initiatives housing grantees, and focusing on building sustainable funding for affordable housing and strengthening tenants’ rights through advocacy training and coalition building.

Colorado Center on Law and Policy

Support for leading mental and behavioral health policy work through strategic monitoring and advocacy development, and providing coaching and training to help Community Resilience Initiatives mental and behavioral health grantees engage effectively in policy work, including regulatory efforts.

Hunger Free Colorado

Support for leading food security policy developments and conducting policy assessments, and supporting Community Resilience Initiatives food access grantees through education and advocacy training to strengthen their policy engagement.
