Saja spent much of her life in North Carolina before she moved to Colorado in 2012. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in English (journalism concentration) and minors in political science and creative writing. She has more than 15 years of experience in the journalism industry, most recently as a reporter for The Denver Post. She has also worked in the nonprofit world, serving in AmeriCorps after graduating from college and later working as a resource developer and grant writer. She lives in Denver with her husband and cats, and she enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading and traveling.
