Diverse Approaches to Behavioral Health

Overview

A one-size-fits-all approach does not address the distinct mental and behavioral health needs of Colorado’s diverse populations. Through the Diverse Approaches to Behavioral Health initiative, The Colorado Trust is funding 15 entities to incorporate and implement culturally and contextually relevant behavioral health approaches, including trauma-informed care, nature-based interventions, restorative practices and peer-led support networks. The Colorado Trust is supporting strategies that promote equitable care tailored to people and their lived experiences by fostering collaboration between community organizations and behavioral health providers.
