The Colorado Trust Appoints Danielle Shoots as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

DENVER, COLO. (Aug. 8, 2019)—The Colorado Trust, a foundation dedicated to creating fair and equal opportunities for Coloradans to lead healthy lives, announced the hiring of Danielle Shoots as vice president and chief financial officer.
Shoots previously served as vice president of finance and business operations for the West Division of Comcast, managing a billion-dollar capital portfolio and a team of 60 employees located in seven states. Prior to Comcast, she served as chief fiscal officer for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. She began her career as a financial analyst at Denver Health.
Shoots has been recognized in the Denver Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” awards; was a 2019 honoree in the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce 25 Most Powerful Women in Business; and is a past TedX speaker. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado Denver Business School.
As a mother and community advocate, Danielle is passionately involved in giving back to the community. She has been a long-time mentor with The Challenge Foundation. She is also the board president for Mile High Ministries, and an executive board member for the Women’s Foundation of Colorado. She held previous board and leadership positions at the nonprofit organizations Engage Denver (also known as Engage 8) and Athletics and Beyond.
